Hi, my name is
Keijay Huang.
I design and program robots.
I am a High School Senior passionate about combining hardware and software to create exciting robots!
About Me
As the founder and captain of VRC team 8198X, I’ve had unique experiences tackling both physical and programming challenges. I’ve spent hours optimizing the dynamics of linkages, or writing complex code to tackle the deceptively simple challenge of autonomously moving a robot from point A to B. I'm excited to push the boundaries of robotics through my work in control sytems and machine learning.
Here are a few technologies I’ve been working with recently:
- C++
- Rust
- Python
- Typst
- Fusion 360
- OpenCV
My experiences
Technical Mentor @ Orchard Hills
2022 - 2024
- Volunteered to teach middle school students fundementals of engineering and programming
- Taught robot programming and basic control algorithms in C++
Things I’ve Made
Featured Project
VEX Competition robots
Designed, built, programmed, and drove competition robots for VRC. Ranked #6 in the world in 2024 and achieved the #1 World Driver Skills in 2023.
Featured Project
Wheeled Robot Simulator
A open source Rust app simulating the physical behavior of a differential drive wheeled robot. Used to develop and test movement algorithms and 2D motion-profiling. Bezier and linear path planning capabilities assisted in programming real-life robots.
- Rust
- Python
- Control Theory
Featured Project
keejLib
KeejLib is an open-source PROS library for VEX competition robots. It has algorithms for moving robots using Pure Pursuit, motion profiling, and PID control. It is a beginner friendly yet powerful system for developing autonomous routines.
- C++
- Integrated Systems
